Speaker Stands
Intro: Speaker Stands
I needed some robust yet unobtrusive speaker stands. Couldn't find any to buy, so I made a pair instead.
STEP 1: Concrete Block
Two ordinary concrete blocks from your local store. The blocks has internal threads, complement with fitting bolts. I painted the blocks white.
STEP 2: The Top Plate
The top plate is a piece from a kitchen countertop made of oak. Drill two holes, the smaller one fitting the bolt and the wider one the washer. Theses stands are quite heavy, therefore attach the furniture felt pads underneath.
STEP 3: The Result
Easy to make and good looking, according to me. =)

It's a concrete foundation post (terminal), used when building a porch, veranda, fence ... put in the ground, add an anchor and attach e wooden post. Like this one for example: https://www.byggmax.se/gjutning-och-husgrund/plint...

Nice stands but I've never seen a local store selling concrete blocks that shape let alone one with threads built in.

Thanks! It's just a standard concrete foundation block with threads for post anchor, available in several stores near me.

You don't have to worry about the dog knocking those over :). Did the blocks come with threads?

Those are very robust! I love it! Great speaker stands are hard to find.
