This is an easy and fun afternoon project.

Apologies for the poor photographs, I did not intend to turn this into an intstructable but I had so many people ask how I did it that I made one anyway.

Step 1: Step 1: Materials List

PVC or other Clear drying glue that is compatible with plastics

Paintbrushes one wet and one dry

8x Take away tubs or craft containers. Optional. I used these to collect the fallen glitter and re-apply so there was no wastage.

Paint. You will need each colour of the visible spectrum. Hobby Paint would work best but I found that the cheap craft paints from KMART pictured above worked just fine.

PINK, RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, CYAN, BLUE, INDIGO

Find a bunch of cheap plastic Dino’s from cheap toy stores, thrift or opportunity shop, online, supermarket etc I got mine from The Reject Shop.

Step 2: Step 2 PAINT YOUR DINO

For best results, measure the length of your dinousar and divide that number by 8.

Measure and mark out 8 even spaces on your dino for each colour of the rainbow:

PINK

RED

ORANGE

YELLOW

GREEN

CYAN

BLUE

INDIGO/ PURPLE

I did this part by eyeball as I was not concerned about even spacing.

Paint in each marked out colour with each colour of the rainbow.

Wash paint brush clean of any remaining colour and refresh water between each colour change to ensure best results.

If you are not the most confident painter, skip every second band or wait for colours to dry to avoid accidental bleeding or mixing of colours.

Repeat this process until you cannot see the original colour of the Dinosaur.

Step 3: STEP 3: GLITTER FLOCK IT

Paint one side of the dino, or just a patch of the dinosaur being careful to stick within one band of colour with PVC glue and allow it to start drying a little bit.

When glue is sticky sprinkle with corresponding glitter colour and press (with gloved fingers) into the glued area

Continue this process until you have filled in the band with coloured glitter. Repeat for each band of colour.

If you are not good with drawing a straight line with a paint bush, skip the next band to ensure glue and glitter does not bleed into the next colour.

Be careful to change gloves to a fresh pair before you move onto the next colour.

Glitter will drop everywhere and outside of your colour band. Use a dry paintbrush to sweep away unwanted glitter. I used tubs and petri dishes to hold my dinosaur over to collect the glitter that does not stick.

Ensure each band of Glitter is completely dry before you start to apply the next coat.

For best effects Layer at least 2-3 coats of PVC and Glitter.

Hot tip- DON't RuB YOUR EYES IF YOU ARE TIRED!! I had a spectrum in my peripheral vision for a week.
