Spitfire Necklace

This awesome necklace is a tribute to the Young Justice couple, Kid Flash and Artemis. This breathtaking bedazzlement will be the center of many conversations and can be worn on any occasion!

Supplies

3D printer

Needle nose pliers

Very small paintbrush

Low grit sandpaper

Neckless chain

Neckless ring

Yellow acrylic paint

Green acrylic paint

Step 1: Printing Your Necklace

The first step to making joyful jewelry is to print the charm. Load the printer with white or clear filament, then let the printer do the rest!

Once the printer has finished, carefully pull the charm off. There will be a few ruff edges, so lightly run the sandpaper over any imperfections.

Congratulations, you survived step one!

Step 2: Painting

The next step in your journey is to paint the heroes' signature colors onto the charm. Starting with the yellow paint, carefully cover the lightning bolt portion of the emblem. Apply a few coats, letting the paint dry between each one.

Once the lightning bolt is finished, crack out the green paint and cover the arrow! Use the same number of coats as you used with the yellow.

Step 3: Putting It All Together

Almost done!

Take you neckless ring and carefully slide it around the top of your charm, so that the loop at the top and the ring are linked together. Use your pliers to clamp the ring closed so that it doesn't fall off.

The last thing you have to do is slide your chain through the ring.

You now have a spectacular Spitfire neckless!
