Spooky Lantern

In this intractable you will learn how to make a super spooky lantern, hope you enjoy!

Step 1:

The supplies and tools that you need in order to make this are:

• 5 4" by 4" pieces of wood
• Your choice of fabric
• Hot-glue gun
• Scissors
• Something to make the design in the wood
• Pick a spooky image of your choice

For this step you need four of the five pieces of wood, whatever you're using to cut the wood, and the main image. I used a laser cutter to cut the image into each of the four pieces of wood. But you can use whatever you prefer to cut the wood with.

Step 2:

For this step you need the fabric you chose, the four pieces of wood that you cut the image into, and scissors. You need to measure the amount of fabric that you need in order to cover the image on the wood. After you have the fabric measured out you need to make four of the same size pieces of fabric. Once you have all four measured out you need to cut them out using the scissors.

Step 3:

For this step you need the same four pieces of wood as the previous step, the four cutout pieces of fabric, and a hot-glue gun. Take one corner of the fabric to one corner on one side of the wood, and use the hot-glue gun to glue that corner down. Start gluing more of the fabric to the wood, once you're done that piece of fabric should be glued to the wood. Repeat on the other three pieces of wood.

Step 4:

It's time to build the box, take a hot-glue gun and the pieces of wood with fabric on them. start by gluing two pieces of wood together at a right angle on the sides of the wood. Continue doing the with all four pieces of wood until they form a square.

Step 5:

Take the final piece of wood and you can either leave it plain or you can cut an image into it and add a price of fabric below it. Hot-glue the piece of wood to the top of the box, add a light to the bottom and you're done with your spooky lantern.
