Steering Wheel Holder / Soporte Para Volante

I am a person who loves hobbies, from modeling to DIY projects and also simulators.

Today I bring you this project that occurred to me there in 2021.

At the beginning of buying the g29 wheel, I always left it mounted and enjoyed the ets and ats continuously. But little by little I needed the PC for other things and I had to disassemble it and store it somewhere that wouldn't get in the way much and wouldn't collect dust. At first it was a wardrobe, but what happened? I started to stop taking it out because of the laziness of having to move a lot of things and stop using it.

So one day I decided that it was time to start using it again and it occurred to me to make a support for it to store it under the table, preventing it from collecting dust, getting in the way and making me lazy to remove it. For me, a complete success.

Soy una persona a la que le encantan los hobbys, desde el modelismo hasta los proyectos DIY y tambien los simuladores. 

Hoy os traigo este proyecto que se me ocurrio alla por el 2021.

Al inicio de comprar el volante g29, lo dejaba siempre montado y disfrutaba de el ets y ats continuamente. Pero poco a poco fui necesitando el pc para otras cosas y tenia que desmontarlo y guardarlo en algun sitio que no estorbara mucho y no cogiera polvo. En principio fue un ropero, pero que ocurrio? Comence a dejar de sacarlo por la pereza de tener que mover muchas cosas y deje de usarlo.

Así que un día decidí que era hora de empezar a darle uso de nuevo y se me ocurrió hacerle un soporte para guardarlo bajo la mesa evitando que cogiera polvo, estorbara y me diera pereza sacarlo. Para mi, todo un éxito.

Supplies

The materials are bare:

• 12 6x30 Screws (Although it really depends on your table)
• 50cm V-slot aluminum profile 2020
• A printer to print two pieces

Los materiales son escuetos:

• 12 Tornillos 6x30 (Aunque depende realmente de tu mesa)
• 50cm Perfil de aluminio V-slot 2020
• Una impresora para imprimir dos piezas

Step 1: Print Parts / Piezas a Imprimir

The design is made in tinkercad, it is very basic and simple (sometimes it is the best :)) It consists of three legs to screw to the bottom of the table and a hole to insert the v-slot.

Actually it is the same design but doing symmetry, however I leave you the two stl in case you need it.

I also add the link to the piece in tinkercad in case instead of a v-slot, you want to add a round linear rod or even a rope with two knots.

El diseño esta realizado en tinkercad, es muy básico y simple (en ocasiones es lo mejor :)) Consta de tres patas para atornillar a la parte inferior de la mesa y un agujero donde insertar la v-slot.

En realidad es el mismo diseño pero haciendo simetría, no obstante os dejo los dos stl por si lo necesitáis.

También añado el link a la pieza en tinkercad por si en vez de un v-slot, queréis añadir una varilla lineal redonda o incluso una cuerda con dos nudos.

Step 2:

Screw it under the table and attach the steering wheel. This support has been created for the logitech G29 wheel and I can't tell you if it would work with another model since I only have this one. On an ikea table and with an ikea chair, it fits perfectly. even tucking the chair under the table.

Atorníllalo bajo la mesa y coloca el volante. Este soporte a sido creado para el volante G29 de logitech y no puedo decirte si funcionaria con otro modelo puesto que solo tengo este. En una mesa de ikea y con una silla de ikea, cabe perfectamente. incluso metiendo la silla bajo la mesa.
