Introduction: How to Create a House or Build a Scene

Step 1: Guide to Building a House in TinkerCAD
Draw a cube 100mm x 100mm
Step 2: Making the Shape Hollow.
Create a hole to go inside your house 90mm x 90mm x 90mm.
This will make the cube hollow and have a wall thickness of 5mm.
Step 3: Align the Hole Into the First Cube Centrally.
Align the hole into the first cube centrally.
Step 4: Create a Hole for Doorway 25mm X 6mm X 45mm
Step 5: Align the Doorway Centrally on the Cube.
Step 6: Group the Hole for the Doorway and the Original Shapes.
You will now be able to see that the cube is hollow, so make sure you rotate the shape and take a look inside.
Step 7: Select All and Group to See the Hollow Shape.

Step 8: Adding a Bay Window to Your House.
The block needs to be 36mm off the floor against the front of the house.

Change the size of the window to 28mm x 15mm x 45mm

Hit your arrow keys and check the window connects to the building. Insert a wedge shape and rotate it.

Insert and rotate a wedge 15mm x 5mm x 45mm.
Step 12: Make the Wedge a Hole and Then Copy, Paste and Rotate by 180 Degrees

Step 13:
Group the window block and the cube.
Align the wedges by moving them against the wall of the house using your arrow keys on the keyboard.
Step 14: Creating the Roof
Add a roof shape size 110mm x 110mm x 20mm
Step 15: Aligning the Roof
Align the roof centrally on both sides. Then click your arrow key 5 times to move it back 5mm
Step 16: Completed Main Body of the House.
Rotate and check that all parts are grouped and aligned correctly.
Step 17: Creating the Bay Window Roof
Add a roof and resize it – 14mm x 35mm x 5mm
Move the window 45mm off the ground.

Step 19: Duplicating Bay Windows
Copy the windows and align them moving the arrow keys on your keyboard.

Do this until you have four windows. You should drag the upper windows upwards using the black triangular arrow.
Step 21: Creating the Front Door
Add in a cube for the front door and resize 25mm x 45mm x 6mm
Step 22: Creating a Window Panel
Create a frosted panel to go into the front door.
Make a block 6mm x 10mm x 10mm

Copy the block to create a square of four blocks for a window panel.
Step 25: Adding a Door Knob
Add a cylinder 2mm x 2mm x 2mm

Move your door knob into place using your arrow keys.
Your house is now finished and you can edit and add new parts to your main building. This tutorial should have given you the key details needed to now paste your house and make a scene.
