Step by Step Landscape Dot Painting | Dot Art Tutorial

This tutorial shows how to convert landscape painting into landscape dot painting. This is a first try for me and I accept here something could have been different. I will try more of this kind of works and share here :)

Supplies

Dotting tools

MDF base if you are planning as home decor. Here for tutorial I used sketch pad

Acrylic colors

Step 1: Prepping the Base

Here I had painted the base black and drawn the landscape outline freehand

Step 2: Painting the Foreground Mountain

I had limited painting supplies. Hence I had used only 2 colors here SAP green and LIGHT green.

I had attempted to do 2d mountain here

Step 3: Changed My Mind and Painted Sky and Water BLUE

Since the colors I had dint pop on black I painted blue again.

Painnted the sun with alternate orange and yellow

Step 4: Painting Background Mountains

I imagined since its far the greenery will be seen hence i chose BROWN

Step 5: Painting the SKY

I painted the sky with DARK BLUE, LIGHT BLUE, WHITE, YELLOW, PURPLE and ORANGE

Step 6: Painting the Water

Here I have tried the reflection of the SUN on water with WHITE, YELLOW and BLUE

But it could have been better. the reflection could be small :P
