Storage in a Solsta Pallbo Footstool

Have additional space storage at your home. Make the most of some old footstool to be an extra storage space.

Step 1: Materials

• Your old Ikea footstool
• Some wood scraps (I had a wood panel 1 cm thick)
• White glue-Staple gun
• Fabric of your choice
• Wheels-Nails or screws

Step 2:

• Remove footstools cover and cut the tiny legs. Keep the legs, you will need them later.

Step 3:

• You have now two empty boxes.

Step 4:

• Cut a piece of wood panel to use as the box lid cover.
• Fix the short legs with screws. This will prevent the lid from falling out of the box.

Step 5:

• Cover the box with the fabric of your choice.
• You have to do it patiently to have a good result.
• Have extra attention on the edges.

Step 6:

• Put a glue on the lid you made before, then put the foam.
• Make sure that it stick well.

Step 7:

• Now it's time to cover the seat.
• Use the fabric you used on the box in step 5.

Step 8:

• Add wheels at the box bottom. These are Ikea's Slugger.
• Make sure to attached it well.

Step 9:

• Double check your work and see to it that everything is placed correctly.

Step 10:

• Finally, you've got two mobile footstools that can be used as your extra storage space.
