Instructions On How To Safely Use and Straighten Your Hair!!

These instructions are for the purpose of providing different techniques to use when straightening your hair. They are also to inform you of the dangers and hazards when handling equipment that reaches high temperatures. You want to always use and store your hair products out of reach of children to avoid any type of injury including severe burns.

Warnings:

  • Using products or equipment associated with high temperatures may cause and lead to injury or severe burns.

Cautions:

  • This product gets up to 450 degrees, so you should always use a protective glove and use protective spray to avoid any type of burns or damage to hair.

Supplies

1.) GFCI Outlet-> Shocking Protectant/Prevention

2.) Flat Iron/Straightener

3.) Protective Glove

4.) Clips

5.) Thermal/Heat Protection Spray

6.) Hairbrush

Step 1: Laying Out Your Hair Materials!!

You should start off by gathering your materials and laying them out on the counter. These should include your hair straightener, clips, protective glove, hairbrush, and thermal/heat protective spray.

Step 2: Plug It In!!

Plug the straightener cord into a GFCI Outlet for safety. This outlet allows for the protection and prevention of tripping the breaker and getting shocked.

(Note: Exposure to any water source could cause individual to receive an electrical shock.)

Step 3: Turning Up the Heat!!

Push the power button to turn on the straightener, then you should be able to increase and/or decrease the heat to your desirable temperature or what you are comfortable with.

Step 4: Protecting Your Luscious Locks!!

Waiting for your straightener to heat up, should take your thermal/heat protection and spray your hair to help protect your hair from and type of damage that may occur with high temperatures.

Step 5: Heating Your Way to Good Looks!!

After the protection is sprayed on, you should separate your hair into sections. Start straightening your hair starting from the bottom layer, working your way through the middle layer, and finally ending with the top layer or top of your head.

(Note: To get the best results and look you should start at the roots and slowly straighten down to the ends of your hair.)

(Reminder: When using equipment with high temperatures, always wear your protection glove so to not get burned.)

Step 6: Brush With Grace!!

When each section of hair is straight, you will then take your hairbrush and brush out any tangles but, also see if your hair is as straight as you want it.

Step 7: Making It Stick!!

If you choose to or not you can spray your hair with a setting spray or hairspray to make your hair shiny, smooth, and keep hold.

Step 8: Finishing Touch!!

At the end of the straightening process always remember to unplug your straightener because it could cause severe damage, leave burn or scorch marks, and possible short out and cause a fire.
