Penknife Grip

Intro: Penknife Grip

I have had my trusty pocket knife for years now, and as per usual i have lost the toothpick and tweezers. Also, the side panels have fallen off leaving sharp metal sides.

Check out my other entry at: https://www.instructables.com/id/Sugru-Contest-Self-Righting-Toothbrush-Stand/

STEP 1:

Get some Sugru (2 packs) and mould it onto the handle and smooth it off with your finger.

Now it has dried, it works a treat! Even more comfortable than the original!

After many years, how is the Sugru holding up? Have you had to replace it?

I'd love to know too but unfortunately I replaced it a couple of years ago. The reason for the replacement was due to it not being a fantastic penknife in the first place and the joints got very loose. The sugru was still in tact when it went!

you should be able to send it in and have it replaced under lifetime warranty (especially victorinox)
Interesting! Unfortunately this knife was not branded at all and had no warranty, also the sugru gives it an alternate texture to the hard plastic.
good ida how many times have u sharpend ur knife and is it a swiss knife
Yes, it's swiss, and I have sharpened it 2 or 3 times, I find it keeps its sharpness very well.
Did this with my Leatherman a while back, its AWESOME!!
Yes. Good idea.

Tips on getting the plastic casing off if it is not already? (just a thought)

Maybe any other ideas on how you would expand this? just another thought..

Or is this a short-but-sweet 'ible?

Cheers,
Will.
