Our OLYS teen girls are fans of wearing barrettes in their hair, but they had a major problem of the clips always slipping out. So Sugru to the rescue! Let's try and flip those slippery clips around!!

Step 1: Time for a Hair Clip Flip

You will need clip on barrettes - any barrettes will do. We bought these at the Dollar Store and they came in a pack of 12.

Step 2: Making Shapes

For this project, we used one 5g package of yellow Sugru. Start by kneading your Sugru into little worm shapes.

Squish between your fingers for about 30 seconds to soften it, then split into two worm shapes.

Step 3: Smooth It Out

Smooth the worm shape of Sugru across the inside of the barrette. Keep smoothing until it feels very flat.

Step 4: Hair Clip Flip!

After you have smoothed out your barrette do the same thing with another barrette. Let dry for 24 hours. Try them on and enjoy the feeling of barrettes not slipping out of you hair!
