It was for a Sugru event, we had a sample shipped to us to use for a variety of projects. This was one we came up with. Generally speaking I agree with you, sugru is expensive and a laser cut rack would have been easier, cleaner, and... Sugru is nice for a small subset of projects. This is not one of them. I have made an earpiece for my bluetooth with it that I am happy with, and I have used it to make the interface of my range hood tactile so I can find the spot to touch for "lights on" in the dark. But I still have not used the rest of the sampler set I ordered ages ago because I have not seen the niche for it, even trying.
why didnt you laser cut a rack? Sugru is sooooooo expensive!

Sugru is nice for a small subset of projects. This is not one of them.
