Step 1: Starting the Process

Take your can tab and on the bottom part use the wire cutters and take out all of the aluminum.

Step 2: Cutting the Hook

Now cut diagonally down to make a point.

Step 3: Filing

File the point until it is sharp.

This is a nice idea, however if I have a soda can, I'm probably within walking distance of civilization. Maybe if I went fishing and forgot my tackle but remembered the soda.
