Survival Guide to Airsoft: Beginner

Introduction: Survival Guide to Airsoft: Beginner

    Hey guys,
This is a Survival Guide to Airsoft meant to aid the beginner into the Airsoft community. Here will be step by step instructions to turn a beginner into a well-educated expert.

Step 1: Getting Informed

Getting Informed: By this I mean that you should find out about Airsoft via Internet or friends that have previously gone Airsofting. Ask them questions about the event. I recomend that you go airsofting once with a rental gun or borrowing your friend's gun to see if  airsofting is right for you. From there, you will decide if you will or will not become apart of the Airsoft community.

Step 2: The Purchases

There will be two types of purchases that will come to mind when buying Airsoft products. The Essentials and The Reccomended. They are both pretty straight forward. There is another thing that will come to mind when purchasing Airsoft products and that is what kind of Airsofter are you. There is 3 different kinds of Airsofters.
1. Close Quater Battle(CQB)
2. Field(Outdoors)
3. Sniper
After you figure out that, then you can move on with your purchases.

The Essentials:
1. Eye Protection
- Full Face Mask
- Goggles and Iron Face

2. Airsoft Gun
- Spring Powered
- Electric Powered
- Gas Powered

3. Gun Essentials
-Battery/Charger or

The Recommended:
1. Body Protection
-Combat shirt/pants
-Helmet, Hat, etc.

P.S. Remember that you will need money to go airsofting also.

Step 3: Final Words

I am going to be plain and simple here, don't be stupid and get airsoft banned for everybody. Here is a few rules that will keep you safe and out of trouble.

1. Don't bring your airsoft gun outside without a gun case/bag.
2. Use a barrel cover when you are around people.
3. Always keep your gun on safety when not in use.
4.Don't play in that sump/field/woods by your house.
5.Only play at LEGAL airsofting fields.

For a beginner, you only need goggles and gloves. (goggles is obvious, however gloves are probably the second most important piece because there is a really good chance of getting hit in the hand, especially where those veins are and it may cause severe damage if it hits in the right spot. For body armor, you can wear a sweater or a long sleeve shirt. I have been playing for about 4 years and the only gear I have is a full seal face mask and gloves. I don't even use a vest, and In reality, all those "mil-sim" kids just spend hundreds of dollars on equipment so they can look like real soldiers lol
