Hi, in this instructable I will show you how to make a Survival snare, this is good for camping, and for when your in survival situations

Things you will need:

two thick sticks (about 1 to 2 in. in diameter)

some rope

and a knife/hammer/hatchet (for cutting the notches and hammering the sticks in the ground)

Step 1: Gathering and Cutting

Gather the sticks, making sure there about 1 to 2 inches in diameter because they need to be thick to withstand cutting. Once you have the sticks, cut notches in them like a hook so that they interlock

Step 2: Hammering

Once you have cut the sticks, hammer one into the ground, it needs to be solid so that it does not come flying out of the ground when the trap springs, and make sure the notch is above the ground so that the sticks can interlock

Step 3: Tie the Rope

Once everything is cut and hammered, get a long piece of rope and cut it in two pieces, tie one end of one piece to the top half of the stick that will be going on top, then tie the other piece to the other end of that same stick, now you should have one stick with both pieces of rope tied to it, now interlock the pieces and take the the rope on the top of the stick and wrap it around a flexible branch and make sure the interlocked pieces don't come loose, now tie the end of that rope to something sturdy to keep the branch bent and the rope taut, now take the piece of rope tied to the bottom part of the stick and make a slip knot, now the Survival snare should be done
