Intro: Sustainable Living Chap Book

Publish Your Ideas and Thoughts about Sustainable Living

STEP 1:

Have you not yet gone 100% digital? Do you still like hard copy and the smell and feel of paper? The sharp line of a helvetica print? Then this project is for you.

STEP 2:

E-Mail -- sundogprints@gmail.com-- for an electronic copy of Mr. Greenjeans' Guide to Sustainable Living"

Add any vegetarian recipes or environmentally safe cleaning formulas, the best ways to recycle, repair and reuse, publish pictures or art work, essays, poems or any creative work about the environment.

STEP 3:

Add your name to the list of Scriveners and your e-mail or website at the end. Then, using recycled paper, print out 10 copies.

STEP 4:

Fold the pages into a booklet. Starting at the bottom, make a hole at 1 1/2 inches, at 4 1/4 inches and at 7 inches.

STEP 5:

Bind the book with a saddle stitch using hemp twine found at craft stores. From the outside of the spine thread into the booklet then out through the top hole.

STEP 6:

Then thread down the outside fold and back into the bottom hole. Then back out through the middle hole.
Steps 6, 7, and 8

STEP 7:

Tie off tag ends and trim

STEP 8:

Give your books to family or leave copies at a local freetrade coffee shop. The book is easily mailed with a 43-cent stamp. E-mail a copy to your creative friends who would like to help spread a sustainable lifestyle. And please e-mail me a copy of your work.

OH I just love this. I have been told for more than a year now (since I started the going green thing) that I should publish I book. I just might have to do that. This is WONDERFUL! DD Do yourself, your children and your environment a favor...recycle, upcycle and FREECYCLE!

I'm not entirely sure how to follow the directions, for your instructable, but I have used a mashed potato/spinach casserole recipe from "The More With Less" cook book., for years. It's a keeper. You may want to try it :0)
