Sweet Flyer

This little candy airplane is a perfect Valentines treat for a future pilot!

Step 1: Materials

You need:
Rockets ( I believe in the USA they are called Smarties)
A stick of gum
2 life savers
A twist tie
2 small rubber bands
A piece of string
And some paper

Step 2: Tools

The tools you need are a pencil a scissor and a hole punch

Step 3: Tie Tie Tie

First you need to tie the rubber bands together. To do this you thread the one through the other one(first picture), then you pull the one end so it looks like the second picture. Then just pull it tight.

Step 4: Add Wheels and Wing

Then thread the the rubber bands through the life savers. Stick the gum through one end then the other so it looks like the third picture.

Step 5: The Body

Just pull the life savers apart and slide the rockets in.

Step 6: Done the Airplane!

Simple as that! Your done the airplane, but if you want a valentine read on.

Step 7: The Banner

Cut a pice of string long enough to tie a knot three times. Cut the banner out of paper then punch the hole. Tie the string onto the end of the rockets then tie the string through the hole.

Step 8: Your Done!

Take your pencil and write your sweet message. Congratulations you are done!

How CUTE are these?? OMG, I can't WAIT for my youngest's birthday party....these make great party favors. I used Fruit Stripe Gum and Tropical Lifesavers on mine....the wheels got a bit sticky after a bit but i brushed them in confectioners sugar and they were fine.
