Introduction: T-shirt Pillow
Kids out grow clothes they and their parents love. I don't have interest in saving bags of old clothes that won't see the light of day again. For Christmas I turned a favorite dress of my daughters and one of my son's beloved shirts into pillows. I am not a sewing expert but can use a machine well enough to sew a few shirts shut.
Step 1: Gather Your Materials
• A cleaned T-shirt, skirt, pants, pajamas or whatever else you have.
• a sewing machine or needle and thread.
• Stuffing. I cut open an old bed pillow and used it to stuff 2 pillows
•Something good on Netflix. I chose Dr. Who.

Step 2: Sew the T-shirt Closed
I used a machine and didn't take any pictures.
first you turn the shirt inside out and then sew it closed on all sides except the neck hole.
I sewed the over each new seam thrice to give it extra strength because pillow fights are a likelihood.
Second, on the neck seem leave about two inches un-sewed.
third turn the shirt right side out through the hole you left in the neck.

Step 3: Stuff the Shirt
pretty simple stuff the shirt with your stuffing. Again I used an old bed pillow. I used a dowel rod to push the stuffing into the sleeves and corners but wasn't too worried about perfect distribution.
Step 4: Sew the Hole Shut
I sewed the hole shut by hand while watching Dr. Who. I don't have the skill to sew the hole shut from the inside but many people do (like my mom).
Step 5: Admire Your Work
Here are the two shirts I made. I left the sleeves on the shirt because I like the look and square pillows are square (best pun ever!).
you can cut the sleeves off and make square pillows. The sleeves on the dress are not noticeable so it looks more square.
