THE LIGHT FLICKER-ER

We are using many beautiful things to decorate our house and make it more attractive, usually in festive seasons and on various occasions. One of the major thing that we use are the RICE LIGHTS or LED STRIPS. But all those lights are usually steady and the blinking one are most costlier. The steady light dims out the occasion.

So, in order to light out our houses with twinkiling lights, I have designed a very simple DIY with a very low cost to make the rice lights to blink.

LET'S DIY WITH PIY.

Step 1: THINGS REQUIRED

The list of things need for this project is just a number, and here are those:

1. A string of rice light of any color. It is easily available in the market. (Price Ranging from Rs. 20 to Rs.100)

2. A Tubelight (not LED) starter. Usually use Phillips Starter (Rs.10/piece)

3. Wire cutter and black tape.

Step 2: STEPS TO BUILD IT.

STEP-1
Cut the wire of one side of the rice light from the plug side. Peel out the plastic insulation from the wire.

STEP-2
Join the wire with two terminals of the starter as shown in the video (or photo). Properly insulate the connections to avoid short-circuits.

STEP-3
Now, plug the Rice Light into a 240V AC source and let the magic happen.

Now, your own LIGHT FLICKER-ER is ready. Use it various purposes and make the festive mood more attractive and awesome.

ATTENTION: BE SURE THAT EVERYTHING IS PROPERLY INSULATED AND THE CONNECTIONS ARE MADE PROPERLY. ADULT SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED.
