Introduction: THE WORLD'S EASIEST DIRECTION COMPASS !!
Materials Required---
A small magnet
A large nail or an iron rod
A small board of plastic or any other thing which floats.
Step 1:
Paste the magnet on the iron rod.
Step 2:
Paste the iron rod in the middle of the plastic board.
Step 3:
Put it in a bucket full of water and watch how the rod will point exactly towards north..

you can use a normal compass to locate the north..... and mark the north on the rod

Correct. So you need to add another step to the Instructable, otherwise it's just a floating magnetised rod.

yes...... you can tape the rod in place
