Introduction: TOY STEGOSAURUS

About: Busy at making things in own idea, because I m a creator....

Hi guys,
...........Stegosaurus was a large plant-eating dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period, it was about the size of a bus carried around two rows of bony plates along it’s back that made it appear even bigger..
...........Toys are kids, lovable friend, dinosaur toys take a huge place on it.
So, I mixed both(Toy+dinosaur) and did it myself (DIM).
In that, I felt happy to share with you how I did it.
Let's start to make it.

Supplies

Drawing kit (include A3 sheet),
Thermocol sheet (1/2”),
Cardboards,
Ice cream sticks,
Maida flour,
Newspaper,
Fine sandpaper,
Some watercolour paints,
Form cutter (if u have),
Glue, knife, scissor, hot glue gun.

Step 1: DRAW YOUR OWN STEGOSAURUS

............If you are familiar in drawing, draw your own 2D stegosaurus in A3 sheet, put it in landscape and front view only enough.
.............If you are not familiar in drawing, then print it.

Step 2: CUT PARTS

Separate the parts top plates, tail spikes and full-body each from your drawn A3 sheet by help of scissors.

Step 3: TO EASY DIY PURPOSE

To easy making DIY purpose, I split out full body into 3 portions, that head & neck, body with legs and tail.

Step 4: CARDBOARD WORK

Trace all the parts from the A3 sheet, in cardboard and cut it along.
Make sure they are in 2 sets of LEFT and RIGHT side.

Step 5: THERMOCOL WORK

Same as cardboard, do with thermocouple,
--- here need not trace or cut top plates and tail spikes.
--- make sure that are in 2sets of LEFT and RIGHT side.
--- fillers are used as a layer between L &R Stomach to increase its thickness.

Step 6: COMBINE TOGETHER (THERMOCOL&CARDBOARD)

-- Stick cardboard parts with thermocol parts by the help of glue.
-- in that cardboard parts are in the outside view.
Here neglect top plates and tail spikes.

Step 7: ASSEMBLE 3 PARTS AND MAKE STEGOSAURUS

Join head&neck, body with legs, tail(3 parts) longitudinally by the help of hot glue gun and form stegosaurus.

Step 8: ICECREAM STICKS

Take some full-length ice cream sticks and cut it half, stick it with cardboard top plate and tail spike parts.

Step 9: WHITE GLUE (gel) PREPARATION

---For prepare white glue, I use Maida flour mixed with water and boil with stir, it becomes like a gel, we can use it as white glue.
---lets to do prepare it.
PROCEDURE 1:
Take 50mg of maida flour in a bowl.
PROCEDURE 2:
Add some water and mix both well.
PROCEDURE 3:
Boil this mixture in medium flame and continuously stir becomes a gel state and switch off the flame.
PROCEDURE 4:
Cool this to 30 mins and ready to use.

Step 10: NEWSPAPER PREPARATION

Cut newspapers in 3*3 cm pieces to use in first and secondary packings.

Step 11: FIRST PACKING BY PAPER

Apply white glue on a stegosaurus along with newspaper and pack full body like these.

Step 12: LET IT TO DRY

Leave this setup to 5hrs in direct sunlight.

Step 13: SECONDARY PACKING BY PAPER

Do the same as first packing, do this, the toy gets super strong in kids hands.

Step 14: LET IT TO DRY

Leave this setup to 5hrs in direct sunlight.

Step 15: FINE SANDPAPER WORK

Use 150 grit (fine) sandpaper to remove excess white glue on stegosaurus and also make a smooth surfaces.

Step 16: PLANT TOP PLATES AND TAIL SPICKS ON BODY

Apply glue on ice cream sticks and plant L&R top plates and tail spikes top of the body and leave it to an hour to dry

Step 17: COLOURING

Use watercolour to complete toy stegosaurus.

Step 18: ADD DETAILS

Add eyes, mouth, and thigh, whatever you want with a freehand sketch.

Step 19: CONCLUSION

This instructables includes kids favourite things of drawing, cutting, glueing, and colouring.
