Intro: TRADITIONAL SPINACH PIE (SPANAKOPITA)

Some background info:
Spinach pie is a traditional Greek food, usually served as an appetizer or snack, and is sold at lunch time by most bakeries and by the Greek version of fast-food stores, which sell fillo wrapped pies, that are either savory or sweet.

The savory items of their menu are spinach pie, cheese pie, ham and cheese pie. or  meat pie (ground beef cooked with tomatoes and onions, sort of like chilli but less spicy)
The sweet pies include bougatsa (filled with custard)  peach pie, apple pie, and other seasonal fruits and are generously sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar.
Today I'll show you how the spinach pie is made, and I will post the rest of these pies later, as I make each one.
They are all delicious, I promise you that!

Thanks so much for posting this! Your method inspired confidence in this filo-phobic cook. I've made it twice in the past 48 hrs with total success! Thank you! Thank you!

Sure;

2 pounds spinach, 1 cup chopped dill, 7-8 chopped green onions, 1 pound feta cheese crumbled, olive oil, 1-2 eggs. Salt, pepper. 1 package fyllo dough.

Make sure to squeeze some juice out of the spinach before you mix the rest of the ingredients. The rest is easy, watch the video. If you make it once or twice, you don't need the recipe any more!
