Introduction: Table Restoration

Hello this is my first Instructable. I was asked by my Mother in law to restore a pine table she owned, the table was in bad shape, it was untreated wood with marks and stains on the table. So i decided to give it a good sand and clear coat it to bring it back to its natural state.

Step 1: Before Restoration

As you can see the table was in a bad state so i had to give it a good sand down.

Step 2: Sanding

I just gave the table a P60 rough sand all over, then a P120 light sand all over. As for the legs i got some strips of sandpaper both rough and light to get into the grooves.

Step 3: Varnish and Finish

So the last bit was easy with 2 coats of clear varnish around the sides and legs, then i gave the top 3 coats to give it a good seal.

This is my first and i have a few more projects to do, I have only been on the site for a short time and i think it is a very creative and helpful community.
