Introduction: Taffy Twist Rainbow Loom Tutorial
Here is my second rainbow loom instructable! This bracelet is so cool and pretty easy too! I would say this is a intermediate level design just because you have to work with a lot if bands. I hope you enjoy this tutorial and if you do, please vote for it I the bracelet contest!! Enjoy!!! <3
Step 1: Supplies
1.) one rainbow loom
2.) four rubber band colors
3.) hook
4.) clip
Step 2: Placing the Bands
Start with your rainbow loom in the normal configuration. Start with the red arrow facing away from you and place the first band diagonally out to the left. Now go in a straight chain up until the second to last pin. To end this, take one more band and bring it into the middle. Do the same on the right.
Step 3:
When you're done, it should look like this. Now, place a cap band on the last peg.
Step 4: Adding the Twists
The twists will go horizontally across the loom. To do this, take three different colors of bands and twist them together into an 8 shape. Place this across the loom on the pegs the picture shows. Continue this all the way up the loom.
Step 5:
It should look like this when you have finished.
Step 6:
Flip the loom over so that the arrow is facing you and put a cap band on the first pin on the top.
Step 7: Looming the Bands
To start looming, go under the cap band and grab the first yellow band and hook it to the left. Reach under and grab the right band and bring it to the right.
Step 8:
Now you will be going in just a straight chain up the loom. Once you have reached the end, bring the last band into the middle. Do the same thing with the right side.
*make sure you're not grabbing the twist bands!
Step 9:
Your loom should look like this when you have finished
Step 10: Extension/Finishing
To finish your bracelet, stick the hook through the last pin and feed a rubber band through it. Make an extension using the single chain method. Add a clip when you have finished.
Step 11: Yay All Done!!
We're done!! Pull your bracelet off of the loom and attach the clip to the cap band on the other side. Hope you enjoyed this instructable!! Please vote for me in the bracelet contest! xox
