Intro: DIY Control for Garden Hose

Another instructable dedicated to gardening that is my passion seasonal
It's a simple tap on "strozzo" that can be useful when water the garden for not wasting water. it is simple to build, super cheap (I used all waste material and as such can be constructed by anyone with a little handworks and at no cost.

STEP 1:

the operation is understood by looking at the figures:
1)handle released: through the elastic back the tube remains throttled and the water does not pass.
2)handle pressed: the bottleneck opens the water flows

STEP 2:

To achieve this effect, I have used everything material recovery: an often bamboo pipe, a wooden often cut properly, the elastic obtained from an old bike air rubber and a wooden cylinder type a pencil.

STEP 3:

Finally, it is sufficient to refine the pieces with sandpaper finish to remove any smudges and assemble all. In particular, one or more flexible will be put into the core of the system   and the other two elastic as handle backwards.                                                                                                       We must then pass the tube appropriately and calibrate the loop so that functions properly into. This stage will require some time to refine the closure and get the best possible compromise (will not be able to claim a perfect closure, is always an emergency device).

STEP 4:

In these images you can see the discreet effectiveness of the system. As downside it has a lower pressure with tap open that would free tube, and a not perfect closing with the cock closed, as I already mentioned. I think that in some situations can still doing his work.
I thank all those who have followed up to here, and ... If you please vote for me, or possibly commented constructively.
To the next.

Thank you georion! I wanted to ask if I have understood your comment: you want to tell me that this is a good way to not spend money. I understand you correctly?

Thanks for the appreciation Kiteman!!1
I welcome the oblervation, also seems to me very effective as a title, it will substitute with your second tip.

That's a great idea.

I would suggest re-naming your project, something like "Make your own hose tap" or "DIY control for garden hose", so that people know what you are making.
