Introduction: Tea Paper or Parchment Paper

Ever Wondered how to make Printer paper look old, like the Constitution? Has a Social Studies teacher ever asked you to make it but you don't know how? Well in this instructable I'll show you how!!! Hopefully I'll get some pictures for this soon.

Step 1: Materials.

Here are the materials you'll need in order to perform the task of making paper look old:

1.) Water.
2.) Coffee (ground).
3.)Cookie pan (Medium sized [for one piece] to a large cookie sheet [for 2 sheets]).
4.) Oven.
5.) Something to protect your hands from heat.
6.) A Small to medium sized bowl.
7.) Coffee maker.
8.) Adult Supervision.
9.) Some common sence.
10.) Printer paper.
11.) A timer.
Each thing listed is crucial to making the paper right

Step 2: Make the Coffee.

Take some coffee (I used Folgers) and pour it into the coffee maker. Make it following the coffee maker instructions. This you will use later.

Step 3: It's Time to Prep and Pour...

Take your cookie sheet and lay it on a flat and level surface and put your paper on it, if you are doing two pieces at a time it is crucial for you to make sure that the edges do not overlap. Now pour the coffee over the paper, just make sure that the paper is wet from it and has no dry spots. You do not want a lake of coffee to cover your paper. leave it set for 60 sec. Also, it might be a good idea to preheat the oven to 200 degree F before this step if you are in a hurry.

Step 4: Cooking the Paper

Now Pre-Heat your oven to 200 degrees F. Now pour the excess coffee into the bowl. Now once you've got that done set the timer to 15 to 16 minutes, 15 to 16minutes works with 1-4 sheets of paper at a time, I didn't need anymore than that so I don't know how it would do with any more, Now stick the cookie sheets, with the paper on them, in the oven.

As a side note, the time it takes to bake the paper dry varies depending on your oven, such as if it's gas or electric. The first time I made the Tea Paper, I made it in a gas oven, set at 200 degrees and it took 9 minutes. The next time I made Tea Paper, it took 16 minutes in an electric oven. Remember to keep an eye on your paper.

Step 5:

Now, use your oven mitts or whatever you are using to remove the baking sheet out of the oven. The paper should look about the same as the pictures I have.

Step 6: Final Note.

Final note, if you print stuff or write stuff on the paper before hand it works the same, try printing the words of the constitution on paper before hand! Like i said have fun!!!!
