Tech Deck Mega Ramp

Introduction: Tech Deck Mega Ramp

In this totally awesome instructable, you will learn how to create a mega ramp for your tech decks with household items!!!!

Step 1: Materials

you will need...
a box of cardboard
duct tape
scotch tape and paper(some people may not need this, you will see later).
Books(any kind, just for support).
scissors
That's it

Step 2: Taping

to get started take the box you have(not the pizza box) and cut off anything hanging off the side. KEEP THOSE PIECES they will come in handy later for support. So now bend the cardboard as much as possible so there are creases everywhere! This will make sure the ramp doesn't make a right angle. Then you need to bend it into shape and keep it there as you tape the entire thing on the side you will ride on. This will make it smooth and easy to ride on.

Step 3: Shaping

You can generally make this into whatever shape you want, just make sure it isn't vertical and the jump isn't too sharp. You want a slightly curved drop and a curved part at the bottom to a jump! the ramp will need to be supported by the pieces you cut off earlier. Take one of them and tape it under the jump part at whatever angle you want it to be. If your parents allow it you can tape it straight to the ground with the duct tape, this will work better but IT WILL LEAVE THE GROUND STICKY. Otherwise you can take the paper you have and tape it to the ground with scotch tape and tape the ramp support to that. The picture for this step has the perfect shape so look at that for help.

Step 4: Supporting

This is the hard part, you need to take all of the pieces you cut off the side of the box and use them. take one of them and fold it into a triangle with no bottom. Then take two others and keep them normal. Take one of the normal pieces and put duct tape hanging off one side(in 2nd picture) and put the side WITHOUT the tape on the ground. Tape the part with the tape to the drop part of the ramp. Once again If you can't duct tape to the ground do it with paper and scotch tape. The other part you will need is the the triangle piece of cardboard. Take a piece of duct tape, not too long, and roll it with the sticky stuff on the outside. Then put that on top of the triangle. Then you have to pick up the ramp and place the triangle piece under the somewhat flat part of the ramp(look at the picture it will help).

Step 5: You're Almost Done!

You will notice that even with the three supports you have on now(including the jump) that the ramp moves forward and back, to fix this grab a big pile of books and put them behind the ramp so they are just barely touching and the books sould be touching something on the side without the ramp as well.

Step 6: You Are Done

You are finally finished Yaay, now go have fun on your mega ramp!!! If you want to (I did) you can draw a bunch of skate company logos and make your ramp look cool!!!!!
