Intro: Telescope Tripod for Iphone/android Use for Stargazing or Tracking the Eclipse

This is a very simple and easy way to use your cell phone for viewing and photographing /video the stars, moon, eclipse. And just all around photos in general.

STEP 1: What You Need

1 telescope tripod
Some duct tape
A case that fits your phone

STEP 2: Remove Telescope

There are typically 2 nuts that hold the telescope to the tripod arm. Remove both nuts and unmount the telescope.

STEP 3: Mount Phone Case

First make sure you have the phone case so that the back of your phone and camera lense are pointed towards you. Take the case hold it flat and tight up against the front of the empty telescope mount. Then just put a piece of duct tape from the back of the case over the top and tightly down the arm mount. And do the same for the bottom of case to bottom of the arm.

STEP 4: Finished!

What you have now is something that should look like this. And you now can swivel up down left right all with smooth movement so no jerking around video. And the small knob allows for moving in tiniest increments. . Also if you do have one like mine with the computer it works amazing with all the mode features because now you can use it to track planets or moon travel. Also great for the eclipse! The computer tells you exactly what degree to tilt it to and where to face!

Here ya go Swanson. Unfortunately I live in a tiny town in Massachusetts. So of course when it became time for the beat part it suddenly got really cloudy. But I did manage to get a couple good pics and with my other phone I took a short video also. Thank you for the comment! It is my very first time posting one. I came up with the idea the night before at around 2am.i had a hard time getting it to publish so I had to write to them not sure exactly what the issue was but they actually pushed it though for me.

That's a neat setup, you should post how the photos turned out :)
