Introduction: Tempting Sweater
This is a slideshow of the sweater I made to commemorate my 2nd Knitting Anniversary.
It is the Tempting Sweater from the Winter 2004 Issue of Knitty. It can be found at: http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter04/PATTtempting.html
I used Cascade 220 to make this sweater. This yarn is a 100% wool and I fell in love with it during a previous project in September. This was a perfect yarn for this sweater. I was able to use the felting join.. (which is when you seperate the yarns, wet them, and then use your hands to basically felt them together). A great thing for someone who doesn't enjoy weaving in ends.
This sweater is a project that can be achieved by anyone in any knitting skill level. Yes the 2x2 ribbing can become tiresome; but one just needs to take it one stitch at a time.
If I would make this again I would probably attach the underarms of the sleeves with the "Kitchner stitch" instead of the "3-needle bind off"
