Introduction: Thankful Turkeys

About: Although I love all art in general, some of my favorites include photography, constructing practical stuff out of duct tape, and sewing up a storm. Before buying something I think twice about it, then usually …

What are you thankful for? Well, I don't know about you, but I am thankful for a slice of turkey on Thanksgiving day. Do you know how many turkeys are killed each Thanksgiving? I really don't know, but those numbers can't be low. So, whenever I see a turkey alive and well trotting through the woods on Thanksgiving morning, I call that turkey a Thankful Turkey.

To make these wonderful delights, you ice a fudge-striped cookie. Then you put a mini Reese's cup in the center, stick 5 pieces of candy corn on for feathers, and then you can find whatever you want for the face. I used a small triangular piece of Fruit by the Foot fruit leather for the beak and 2 snowflake sprinkles for eyes. And then, you have yourself a Thankful Turkey. Enjoy!
