Optional

Cooking Supplies:

Measuring cup (1-cup)

Measuring spoons (Variety Sizes)

Step 1:

Over medium-high heat, in a medium saucepan combine 4 cups of water and 1/8 tsp of salt and bring to a boil.

Step 2:

Drizzle 1 tbsp of Olive Oil across the bottom of the skillet or sauté pan and heat over Medium heat for 1 minute.

Step 3:

Remove the ground turkey from its packaging and place in the middle of the pan.

*Tip: To help spread the oil, I rotate the meat two-to-three times to ensure the bottom of the pan and meat are evenly coated thus ensuring even cooking.

Step 4:

Continuously flip the meat, bringing the cooked meat to the top, until fully cooked. The cook time will vary depending if the meat was frozen or thawed when you began. Use a spatula to loosen the meat from the cooked top before flipping, until the meat is fully loosened.

Step 5:

Add in one package of uncooked spaghetti noodles and cook Al Dente or until fully cooked, approximately 8-minutes.

*Tip: I break the uncooked pasta in half to ensure it all fits in the boiling water at the same time.

Step 6:

Continue to stir and flip until the meat is browned. Add in 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, salt, and pepper seasonings.

Step 7:

Remove from heat, strain noodles in the sink by pouring the noodles and water into the strainer. Return the strained noodles to the saucepan and set to the side until meat and sauce is prepared.

*Tip: Lift the strainer up and slightly rotate from side to side to ensure all excess water is removed.

Step 8:

Add the 29oz Canned Tomato Sauce along with the 1/2 tsp of onion powder and the remainder of the garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the cooked meat. Cook over low heat for three minutes.

Step 9:

Remove from heat and pour in cooked spaghetti noodles. Continuously stir until the meat and noodles are well combined and all the noodles have been coated with tomato sauce.

Step 10:

Serve and Enjoy!

Optional:

Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top of the spaghetti and enjoy with a slice or two of buttered bread.

Leftovers:

Place any leftovers in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to three days.
