Introduction: The Chocolate Touch Bowl

Whats better than a regular bowl? A bowl that turns things into chocolate! This magical bowl could be the life of your party, because everyone loves chocolate.

Supplies

- chocolate chips (3 bags)

- strawberries

- pretzel sticks

- mini marshmallows

- two balloons

Step 1: Step 1: Melt the Chocolate

You have to use a double burner to melt your chocolate, otherwise the chocolate will burn. Do this by placing a pot with chocolate chips over a pot of steaming hot water. Stir the chocolate as it melts into creamy liquid gold. Once it's melted, you should take it off the heat, but keep mixing it to keep it liquid.

Step 2: Step 2: Make the Bowl

To make the bowl wrap a metal or ceramic bowl in wax paper. Spray a non-stick spray around the wax paper to assure that the chocolate does not stick to the wax paper. Use the melted chocolate to coat the outside of the bowl. When done coating the bowl put it in the freezer. When it is completely frozen take it out and coat the bowl with chocolate once again. Coating it twice makes sure that when you go to remove the chocolate from the bowl it won't break easily.

Step 3: Step 3: Dip Other Ingredients in Chocolate

While the chocolate covered bowl is in the freezer, use the excess melted chocolate to coat other ingredients. We dipped strawberries, mini marshmallows, and pretzel sticks. Put those ingredients into the fridge until chocolate is hardened. This part gets really messy, but thats okay because it only makes the bowl look more magical when it covers the foods.

Step 4: Step 4: Assemble Bowl

Take frozen bowl and chocolate covered ingredients out of the freezer. This part is pretty tricky, because you want to make sure not to crack the bowl. Carefully peel wax paper apart from the chocolate and you will be left with a chocolate bowl. Then arrange strawberries, marshmallows, and pretzel sticks into the bowl and enjoy!

Step 5: Final Reflection

During this project our group went through a lot of trial and error, but our end product came out to be something we are proud of and tastes delicious! One tip that we learned from this project is to be very careful with the chocolate bowl. It is very fragile and we had a few ruined bowls. A couple really key tricks are to use plenty of nonstick spray, wax paper, and patience. Lots of patience.
