Introduction: The Great Garden Renovation
My garden has been neglected for 9+ months I will attempt to restore it to its glory. I haven't touched it in so long because I had no motive but now I have a reason, and I'm glad!
Supplies
1. Hands
2. Vinegar or a combination of borax and sugar water, or borax and sugar water vinegar. (to kill the ants safely)
If you have dangerous ants only kill them DO NOT KILL unprovoking ants, as they eat grubs and other plant-eating animals.
3. Garden/compost bin
Step 1: Step 1: Make a Pathway to Your Garden
If you want to get to your garden you will need a pathway. (unless you like tall weeds)
this will also help prevent seeds from migrating into your garden.
Step 2: Step 2: Check Out Your Garden
Before weeding your garden, check for bug nests or other surprises. I found a blooming watermelon! I found a fire ant pile also so I will make a solution to kick them out as I am mildly allergic to fire ants.
Step 3: Step 3: Weed Your Garden
I left the watermelon and the area of the ants while they disappear for the next few days.
Step 4: Step 4: Weed Your Composter
Your composter will also need to be weeded, my composter wasn't as neglected as my garden so I weeded it and mixed up the compost.
Step 5: Step 5: Finished
Now you can grab any extra weeds and maybe pour some compost into your garden, your all finished!
