Introduction: The Great PINK Dolphin Automata!
WHAT WE NEEDED
~ PVA Glue
~ Paint
~ Hot glue gun
~ Scissors
~ A bit of sticky tape
~ Stanley Knife ~ Cardboard
~ Paper ~props
Step 1: PLANNING PINK DOLPHINS!
First we chose what we were going to do, we brainstormed some ideas.
Then we designed the project in our art book and chose a theme.
The theme was a beach and the idea was a PINK dolphin jumping in the water with the waves moving.
Step 2: CREATING THE BOX!
Then we had to figure out how we would make everything work.
We put 3 pieces of cardboard stuck togethers and Mr. Catchlove cut out 3 cams and put long strips of cardboard stuck together to use for the movement.
After a while we finally had a plan and we started choosing the boxes, what paper or paint we should use.
Step 3: PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER!
We decided to put a bottom bit of cardboard for the sand to go on.
Then we thought to paint the box blue just like the ocean and have black palm trees on the side.
We put a black piece of paper stuck on the back and clued tropical sunnys to it.
Step 4: PROPS!
Next we got some little props to put on the sand to make it look cute.
We got some shells, a radio that plays music, a towel, a sign that says The great PINK dolphin, a skateboard, a fake ice cream, a drink, a beach ball,2 umbrella, sunglasses, small sun screen, a small rock pool, camera, 1 small thong, 2 dolphins, big gl and a bottle that you would find on the beach.
Step 5: MAKING THE WAVES!
After putting the props on we made some waves for the ocean.
There were 3 waves from biggest to smallest that we drew and then we stuck it on some cardboard, traced it and cut it out.
The colours we used was dark blue light blue and dark blue again.
Step 6: MAKING THE WAVES MOVEMENT!
To make the waves move we stuck popsticks on each on so they would connect to the oval shape on the long strip of cardboard.
When we would turn it the waves will move up and down almost like a cannon.
Step 7: MAKING THE GREAT PINK DOLPHIN!
We had to draw the PINK dolphin we had to draw 2 on pink paper then cut it out.
We glued it on cardboard to make it nice and strong.
Then we stuck them to the moving handle so it could go in a circle.
Step 8: FINISHING THE GREAT PINK DOLPHIN!
The Great PINK dolphin was a bit a hard to make but after all it looked amazing.
We are very proud of what we have done and of how it all turned out.
It was a huge challenge and also a fun challenge.
Step 9: FINISHING!
After making all the moving parts were finished we were checking if the moving was breakable.
Everything was great, at the end it was great and looked amazing.
It was very frustrating but fun making out project.
