Introduction: The Propeller Flyer !

About: I like 3d printing and I love designing things.

Introducing! The Propeller flyer! A device that uses friction kinetic energy and centrifugal force to propel itself upward!

It is a very good toy for kids and it is engineered just for entertainment!

If you try to print scale it between 40-50 or so.

my name is harper and I attend The Tuscaloosa Academy

school.

Supplies

I used Fusion 360 to design this it is my first project on fusion and it was very fun to design and engineer! The Change from Tinkercad to Fusion was very fun and I plan to use fusion instead of Tinkercad for further projects. I also used cura to slice this model. I used a 3% gyroid infill.

Step 1: Creating the Blade Shape

to design the shape of the blades I sketched the shape and then extruded it.I then copied and pasted it to create a separate blade.

Step 2: Making Them Able to Fly

I used the move feature and then rotated the blades at an angle, so when It is spun the air gets pushed downward pushing it upward.

Step 3: Adding the Cylinder

I added a cylinder to make the blades into one singular shape and to add a weight at the bottom to keep it centered I then rounded the edges of the cylinder to give it a nicer look and to make it more safer to fly.

Step 4: Print and Fly

When flying move your left hand forward and your right hand toward you

Step 5: WARNING

DO NOT FLY INDOORS: It will most likely break due to the fact that it is spinning and hitting a solid object like a wall.
