Introduction: A Book of Red Things (#19)

About: Grandma Van uses the Instructables website to share little print-and-mail books. Once in a while, she has other fun things to share.

Long ago (February 2) I published my first "Pocketmod" on Instructables: The Bug Book.

The Red Book is the first of a series of little color books that I will be making. It's a simple little wordless book, and I used many lovely illustrations from the openclipart.org website.

On the back cover, there are some suggestions for using the book with a young child:

Things to talk about:

For page 2, 3, 4 and 5, ask “What is the same about all of these things?"
(Things you eat, animals, school items, things you can wear.)

Tell your own story that includes all of these items.

Play “I spy” with the items in the book.

Ask questions: Which things can you hold in your hand? Which things are hard or soft? Which things are containers?

Step 1: Print.

Print the single sheet PDF attached above.

Step 2: Cut and Fold.

Why reinvent the wheel?
