Introduction: The Simplest POV (ARDUINO) Bike Spoke LED
Easy DIY (without soldering) and ARDUINO IMAGE SKETCH GENARATOR TOOL

Arduino
Led Strip APA102 5V
Power Bank 5V (battery)
Hall effect sensor - Magnet - Resistor 10K
WIRES AND CONNECTORS:
USB Wire
4 way Electrical Connector Strip (Block Terminal)
4 Jumpers male - male
3 Jumpers male - female
OPTIONAL:
Blueooth HC-06
4 Jumpers male - female

Load and edit images:
OPTION 1 Using ARDUINO CODE GENERATOR (Copy and Paste Sketch CODE)
- IMAGES Arduino Code Generator
(TIP: do not use chrome on desktop or laptop computer and do not use firefox on android)
OPTION 2 via Bluetooth: all docu in persistenceofvisionproject.com
Step 3: INSTALLING ON YOUR BIKE
e.g.
Attach Arduino and battery on Wheel Hub with zip ties (make a support with cardboard or 3D printing).
Stick The Sensor and LED strip on Spoke, with adhesive tape.
Stick the magnet on wheel-fork with hot melt and adhesive tape.

Could you replace the hall effect sensor/magnet with a simple timing circuit to enable the same effect? The reason I am asking is that I would like to hold the end of the string of LEDS in my hand and spin them around in a circle (like a fan or the bicycle wheel) to create the POV effect. Do you know of any way to determine the timing other than the hall effect sensor? Thanks for the great post.
