Introduction: The Sun

About: Over the years I have become a self proclaimed "Creative Sort" of person. I have always enjoyed "doing" art of several different types. Eventually, I went on to get my BFA in Graphic Design…

Using small strips of tape - wrap around each smaller piece to make a ball of chosen size.

Step 1: Once Size of Ball Is Reached....

Take 1/4 inch wide strips of tape in various warm colors, and place on edge of table. Once 50 plus strips have been set aside - start folding in corners to make a singular triangle with a tape tab.

Step 2: Add Tape Tabs

Once tape tabs have been formed, place adhesive exposed edge on ball. Repeat with all prepared pieces of tape all over the ball.

Step 3: Adding the Face.

Before filling entire ball with "sun rays", leave enough room to add eyes and mouth with alternating colors of tape. Fill in around facial features with remaining rays.

    I actually used this contest as an incentive for one of my art classes. This was one of the student projects - she made it all out of duct tape. The student who made this is in 8th grade.
