Introduction: The Ultimate Chocolate Chips

The most tasty and traditional chocolate chips.

A very simple recipe that you can make within an hour.

Supplies

  • 250g of all-purpose flour

  • 100g of chocolate chips

  • 140g of unsalted butter at room temperature

  • 70g of white sugar

  • 70g of brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • Vanilla extract (optional) or vanilla sugar

  • A pinch of salt

Step 1: Preheat

Preheat the oven to 200ºC

Step 2:

In a bowl, beat with an electric mixer on medium speed the butter, the white sugar and the brown sugar. The ingredients can be mixed with a spoon, but it will take longer.

Step 3:

Once combined, add 4-5 drops of vanilla extract (or vanilla sugar, as it's done in this recipe) and the egg.

Step 4:

Beat the ingredients on until smooth.

Step 5:

Add chocolate chips. If you don’t have chocolate chips, you can substitute them with a chocolate bar cut into small pieces.

Step 6:

Sift the flour and the baking powder and add them into the mixture. Also add a pinch of salt.

Step 7:

Take small portions and make them round.

Step 8:

Put them onto previously prepared greased cookie sheets.

Step 9:

Bake at 200ºC for 10-15 minutes.

Step 10:

Let them cool completely.
