Introduction: The WaiterBot
This is light blue robot is a prototype of an idea of what robotic waiters could look like in the future. By giving them a more humanoid body, it makes doing multiple actions a lot easier. The front has a screen with all the orders that have been made. The arms are wide, making it easier to hold many more dishes than people could. Walking instead of rolling on a wheel makes for movement. This prototype will be the beginning of more waiter-type robots in the future. More could be added on in the future, but as of now this is the prototype.
Supplies
a sheet of paper, scissors, a ruler, tape, and color pencils/crayons
Step 1: Step 1: Cut the Paper Into Pieces.
Cut one two inch wide strip. Then take the remaining piece and cut it in half.
Step 2: Step 2: Make the Body
Take one of the halves and fold into four. Use some tape to form the box like shape for the body.
Step 3: Step 3: Arm Slits
Make two slits that are 2 inches long. Slide the two inch strip into the slits.
Step 4: Step 4: the Legs
Fold the other half of the sheet (hot dog style) and cut 4 1 inch strips from it. Roll them up into a cylindrical shape and tape them. Also cut a 2 1/2 in square and tape it to the bottom.
Step 5: Step 5: the Top
Take your remaining piece of paper and create a sort of cover that overs the front and top.
Step 6: Step 6: Decorate It.
Add some color to it, drawings, and whatever you want on it. It's yours!
