Hello! In today's article, I will describe the process of making the safest and long-burning candle.

Let's start with preparing the materials.

Supplies

You will need:

  1. Copper or brass tube
  2. Quartz sand
  3. Cement
  4. MDF two-component glue
  5. Cotton thread
  6. Glass jar with a tightly closing lid

Step 1:

First, clamp one end of the tube, then fill it with sand. Once the tube is full, crimp the other end.

Step 2:

Take a bolt and wrap the tube around it, making several turns, as shown in the photo or video.

Don't forget to cut the ends of the tubes and free it from all the sand.

Step 3:

Using a 1-2 millimeter drill, make a hole strictly in the center of the spiral (pay attention to the drill diameter, as it should not exceed 2 millimeters).

Step 4:

Now the most interesting part is threading the thread through the tube. To make it easier for me, I first thread a fishing line and then pull it through with a thread. How to make the right loop, watch in the video, as it is very difficult to explain in words.

Step 5:

Attention! The cotton thread should be threaded from both sides, leaving 5-9 millimeters from the edge of the central hole.

Step 6:

The entire structure should be installed in the lid, pre-drilling a hole for the diameter of the tubes. Seal the holes with two-component glue and cement.

Step 7:

Now pour medical alcohol, whiskey, or tequila, and warm up in the tent, cook food, disinfect tools, or conduct physical experiments!

Step 8:

This is a brilliant burner, and with a large capacity, it can work for more than 100 hours, and it is absolutely safe because its wick never ignites; it works like a vaporizer!
