Ceramic Furnace Insert Lamp

This is the finished lamp.

Step 1: You’ll Need an Old Ceramic Insert for an Old Furnace.

There are multiple of these inserts in the old heaters that had them.

Step 2: Make the Base.

I used a found porch post and chopped it up and lined the pieces around another piece of the post that was the same size as the base of the ceramic insert.

Step 3: Wire It.

After that, I just wired it up, and used a piece of bamboo to cove the cardboard sleeve and socket. I have a green 7 watt holiday bulb in it.
