Tighten Your Guitar's Output Jack
Intro: Tighten Your Guitar's Output Jack
If your cable won't stay plugged into your guitar's output jack, you won't need any parts to fix it. Just watch this video and follow the steps below.
You'll need:
-index finger
-opposable thumb
-phillips screw driver
Steps:
1. Back the nut in the output jack with a 1/2" socket. Washer and dish will fall out as well.
2. Remove the control plate cover (2 phillips screws).
3. Reach in the cavity and pull out the jack.
4. Pinch the support arm of the jack to bend it inward slightly.
5. Reassemble.
