Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland Blue Teapot Dress.

I am very passionate about recycling or re-purposing items. From the moment I saw this remnant, I knew I had the perfect idea for it.
When I made this costume, I knew my little girl would love it. Having made the red queen and mad hatter last year entirely out of remnants and recycled fabric, I was determined to make her this teapot dress to match ours. I used a bunch of satin strips and layered the skirt. No pattern was used although I did watch the movie a million times. Everything was made to match the movie Alice in Wonderland, the Tim Burton version. This dress is the one that the hatter sews for her while she is at the tea party and hiding in a tea pot. I also made the shoes with the ribbon going up the legs including the arm band. I am by far not an expert, nor do I claim to be one, I just really love to know I have re-purposed something someone would have otherwise discarded. I love to see the potential in something someone else passes up while also challenging my creativity.
