Introduction: Tiny Paper Bags

About: I love craft.

Hello everyone, this instructable is about tiny paper bags which I saw on pinterest. The minute I saw them I realized they cannot be of much use but they sure look very cute. But, as it turns out that these little bags are of great use if you are looking for something in which you can gift little things to your loved ones. They can practically hold anything which can be fit into it ( a pebble of that small a size can be lifted(though I have not tried it and anyway giving a pebble to someone is a terrible idea😅😅)).
Now lets talk about making of these cute babies, so for the making the technique used is the same old origami ( meaning that no other item would be required except paper!!! Hoorayy!!!😃😃). The bag can be completely structured using just paper and the technique, but for the decorations you would require the items you want to decorate it with.

Supplies

Paper (Origami paper or any other paper will do which can be easily folded)
Scissors ( I used a pencil, scale and scissors to measure and cut the piece of paper required)
Glue ( to paste the strips)
Markers (or any other item you want to use for decoration)

Step 1: Creasing

I made mine with the smallest dimension that is 7cm×7cm in which I was comfortable at folding, you can start by a bigger size of sheet at first and once you have learned you can try it on the reduced sizes as well.
Now, you start by making creases on the paper because there are some intricate folds ( in which you'd be folding two very crucial folds at the same time) and creasing the paper first will help you alot later.
So you start by folding the paper in half, diagonally overlapping. This is the first crease you've formed, jojning the opposite corners.
Now position the paper such that the first crease is horizontally placed on the surface, the other two corners which are not involved with the first crease will be used to make crease 2,3,4,5, now make a fold such that the these corners lie on the first crease in the centre of the paper. This will give 2 creases. Now, make a fold such that these corners touch the crease of the other corner indiviually. This will give us the other 2 creases.
The creasing part is still not finished, this creasing would be used to give depth to your bag, so lets look at it step by step:-
Step1: Place the paper such that the previous creases are vertically surfaced. As shown in fig.7.
Step2: Fold in half as shown in figure 8.
Step3: Fold from 0.5 cm from the bottom over on top as shown in figure 9.
Step4: Fold inwards from the corners of the bottom as shown in figure 10.

Step 2: Final Foldings

After watching the video you might have understood the whole procedure by now. So here's a recap of what you learned from the video.:-
Step1: Lay the paper as shown in the first figure above and fold the corners as shown.
Step2: This is the intricate fold I was talking about, i would suggest you to watch the video for this step, it would be difficult at first but after certain trials you would find it easy and interesting. You can also take the help of the images above as they are arranged in a step by step format.

Step 3: Decorate

You have made the box part of the bag till now, to complete the bag you must put the straps on. For the straps cut thin strips of paper and paste them on the bag at open edges.
Voila!! Your bag is ready....
Decorate it however you want, they are cute already so I made them stylish by using a black marker and giving them black and white stripped finish and polka dots. You can use anything and draw whatever you want on them, they already are very cute looking but you can make them look more cuter.
Customize them according to what you will put inside it while gifting something to someone and make them feel more special.
