Introduction: Tips for Getting the Most Out of Your Half-valved Diatonic Harmonica

About: I'm a Harmonica Playin' fool! I build my own amps and effects, and I do lot's of the DIY stuff. I also build and play cigar box guitars, play ukulele, blues guitar, melodica, and drums, and I beatbox a bit too…
Hi folks! Here is the promised follow up to my video instructable about making your own harmonica valves! In this instructable, I discuss my approach to playing half-valved diatonic harmonicas. I discuss tips for good tone, getting good valved bends, blow vibrato, and legato playing. At the end I play a little freestyle melody on a half-valved harp, which incorporates all of these techniques! Enjoy!

You need:
A half-valved diatonic harmonica (see link above)
A good work ethic, open ears, and an open mind! :)
