Intro: Tool Belt From Gatorade Plastic Bottles.

In this Instructable i will show you how to make a simple tool belt made from Gatorade plastic bottles.

STEP 1: Get the Materials!!

Materials:
Gatorade Bottles
X-acto Knife
Belt

You need to find the right type of plastic bottle.
I used a gatorade bottle because I believe it's more heavy duty than any other plastic bottles that I've collected.

STEP 2: Get to Cutting

You need to use the x-acto to cut off the mouth from the gatorade bottle.

STEP 3: Get to Cutting Part 2

Use the x-acto again to cut two rectangles off the center of the bottle. They have to be around the size of the belt and be at lease half an inch away from each other.

I did this for to two gatorade bottles.

STEP 4: Put It Together and Wear It!

Slip the belt into them. After that you could now put your tools in them.

Now you could wear it.
Have fun and be careful when using the X-acto knife.

Hi, aren't the edges a bit rough?

Sweet to see this set up being use. Years ago I started in the residential framing, my first week at work did not have a bag setup, so I cutout the top section of a 1gal water container and stuffed it with 3"nails, everyone had a laugh about it for years,
Brought some nice memories,
What about using peanut butter jars and then you have a wide mouth and a screw top already? ( I eat alot of peanut butter-not much gatorade)
Don't the tools fall out if you bend over?
you could probably make a hammer hanger from a gatorade bottle too, just cut around the neck of the gatorade bottle, and then up one side, cut the two belt loops and take off the bottom as well.
Congratulations doom! Featured ibile first time out...great idea, good work. I have done something like this as well, using milk bottles. The plastic lasts a few years, but hey, the price is right. Keep up the good work. Cman
