Introduction: Toy Container/ Parking Garage
This is a toy where kids can store their toys in the bottom part of the container. In the top part, kids can store their toy cars using the ramp going up.
Step 1: Step 1: Cut Base Pieces
In order to make the cuts straight, we clamped a straight edge onto the wood so we were able to use that to guide the circular saw. Our base pieces were 24" by 14" for the bottom, 24" by 10" for the top, 10" by 18" for the sides, 24" by 18" for the back. We then cut out a ramp with our top piece of wood which was a 3" by 21" ramp. We later mitered the ramp so it fits.
Step 2: Step 2: Connect the Pieces
We put wood glue on the side pieces into the back. We wedged the bottom and top into the frame and glued them together. Once the wood glue dried we screwed some screws into the frame.
Step 3: Step 3: Paint
We painted the platforms and ramp black, the inside of the box blue, the outside a light sky blue, and the buildings with bright colors. We put windows and details onto the buildings. and let it dry. The paint mostly needed 2-3 layers.
