Introduction: Transform Your Xbox Into R/C Car !!!!!
How 2 build your Xbox into this remote control dodge magnum R/C car with tv and sound.

Step 1: PARTS LIST
PARTS LIST
- MICROSOFT XBOX.
- DODGE R/C 1/6 SCALE MAGNUM jada toys.
- 4 WIRELESS CONTROLLERS.
- SOLDERING GUN.
- 4 80MM FANS WITH LEDS.
- DREMEL
- EXTRA WIRE 22GA AND 18GA
- 5in lcd with sound.
- 2 Y adapters a/v splitters
Step 2: TAKING APART THE CAR
TAKING APART THE CAR
-Turn the car over
laying it on a soft
clean cloth.
- Unscrew all 8
Phillips screws
- And 4 around the
bumper
- Slowly separate
avoid ripping any
wires.
Step 3: TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE CAR
Top and Bottom
- Undo all wires from
the cars motherboard.
- Now you have 2
separate pieces.
- The top will hold the
xbox
- The bottom will have
all the parts for the
car and 2 fans.
Step 4: Cutting Back Window
Cutting back window
- Unscrew the back
window from
inside.
- Then dremel it out
along the factory
lines.
- And epoxy the dvd
tray door when
done.
Step 5: THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR
THE BOTTOM
- The care comes with
mp3 compartment .
- You will need to move
the cars pc board
forward.
- Extend some wires
solder the connections
and shrink tube.
- Remove the mp3 door
and dremel out the
compartment to fit 2
of the fans.
- Leave a strip of plastic
between the fans.
Step 6: POWER AND EJECT BUTTON

- Unscrew the back
plate from the inside
of the car and dremel
out holes
- You will need to
extend the power and
eject button 1 foot.
- Cut the wires one by
one they are all
yellow.
- Solder them and use
shrink tubing
Step 7: THE TOP OF THE CAR
The Top
- The top of the car
will hold the xbox.
- There are stock
supports that will
hold the back of
the dvd drive.
- The front of the
dvd drive will be
screwed into stock
holes in the car.
Step 8: INSIDE DVD SUPPORT
Inside dvd support
- You will use the cars
stock support for the
rear of the dvd.
- Some trimming of the
plastic support
- To get the dvd drive
to fit.
- Use the stock xbox
hard drive tray.
Pictures show hd
upside down. Flip it
over so it is right side
up when you put it all
back together.
Step 9: INSIDE MOTHERBOARD
Inside motherboard
- Some motherboards are
different than others
placement is key.
- You will have to extend the
dvd yellow wires 1 foot.
- Cut the wires one by one
they are all yellow.
- Solder them and use
shrink tubing.
- Secure the motherboard
down with screws.
- Some motherboards
require you to extend
power supply.
Step 10: POWER SUPPLY
Power supply
- Epoxy the power
supply to stock
supports.
- Dremel out a hole
for the power
supply to come
out.
- Use the spot where
the car trunk
handle would be.
Step 11: ADD A/V PLUGS
Add the a/v plugs
- Drill out 3 holes for
audio and video plugs.
- Use screw type rca
female to female
connectors.
- Add you’re a/v Y
adapter inside the car
one to audio and one
to video.
- The Y splitter will
connect to your small
tv.
Step 12: CUT OUT THE HOOD

Very Carefully dremel out a square in the hood for the tv.

Step 13: Wireless Controllers
Wireless controllers
- Add any 4 wireless
controllers .
- Logic tech are the
best.
- epoxy the wireless
receivers to the
inside of the
windshield.
Step 14: ADD HARD DRIVE LIGHTS
Add hd activity
- Flip over the
motherboard and
solder the - to this
spot
- Solder the + to any
5v source or 12v
- depending on your
leds.
- You can add hd
activity leds to come
out the tailpipes.
Step 15: 1-2-3
PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER.

Time to step outside your comfort zone! You do a great job on things like this and and the Millienium Falcon but it's time to step it up and mod current systems. this is nice and all but it's just an outdated softmodded xbox shoved inside a hideous rc model... I think you'd do great work with actuatiors!

I really think this one ought to be called "Transform an R/C Car into an Xbox." I was expecting an actual Xbox with wheels.

Sorry, but I really don't see a point to this project. You did a nice job and the instructions are great, but I can't think of a reason why anyone would want to follow them.

This is a nice, clean job. But what is it like with the cooling?
Also does it still function like a R/C car? Can you unplug the Xbox and drive it around?
It'd probably be slower due to added weight, but still be cool.

It runs cooler than stock ! It does still fully function you can unplug the Xbox and drive it around ! thanks mark
