Introduction: ~Transistor Verifier~
Today i will show you how t make a transistor varifier very simply
Step 1: PARTS:
1.An led
2.Some button cells
3.A transistor (any type for testing)
4.Copper wire
5.Tape
6.A plastic case

Step 2: PROCESS:
Insert the led into the plastic case as shown.
Then insert the button cells into the case.
Now fix the copper wires to the case
...Now it is partially ready...

Step 3:
You can colour the probes for identification.
Red is negative and black is positive

Step 4: CIRCUIT:
It is not a big circuit
Step 5: WORKING:
First find the base,you can find it by trying common base combinations. Usually the middle pin is given as base,but it's not true in all transistors.
Step 1 - FINDING THE BASE and determining NPN or PNP Get an unknown transistor and test it with the verifier.Try the 6 combinations and when you have the black probe on a pin and the red probe touches the other pins and the led blinks, you have an NPN transistor. The black probe is BASE If the red probe touches a pin and the black probe produces a blink on the other two pins, you have a PNP transistor. The red probe is BASE

Step 2 - FINDING THE COLLECTOR and EMITTER , For an NPN transistor, place the leads on the transistor and when you press hard on the two leads shown in the diagram below, the led blinks.For a PNP transistor, place the leads on the transistor and when you press hard on the two leads shown in the diagram below, the led will blink.
